ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Hyde Park Kiwanis Annual Spring Bowling Party will be on Tues. Mar. 24, right after handball. The party will be at 7-10 Lanes, 1055 E. 55th St from 5:30 - 9:30. Tickets are $50 and include drinks, food and bowling. All of this supports Hyde Park Kiwanis' efforts in the community. Tickets can be purchased at the door or from Wally Jonas (773 955-5035).
The Handball Club regrets to announce the passing of our long time friend and leader, Jim Comiskey last Thanksgiving. Jim was 80 years old. He was involved in many organizations in the Hyde Park area, including the Hyde Park YMCA, the Hyde Park Historical Society, the NORC, and the University of Chicago Handball Club. Jim earned his Master's degree in anthropology at The University of Chicago. He was a long-time Hyde Park resident, and is survived by his wife, Jane (773.324.0750). A service was held on Wednesday, December 3, at 1:30 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Chur.ch at the corner of 55th St. and Kimbark Ave.
